Didn't we already have this one? But I agree that it's easier on our own. Chemistry was easy when I just watched the videos, they actually taught me on the videos.
I wish the teacher was in the room when I was in Chemsitry because i had no idea what was going on, the videos didn't help. But thats great that you got it. maybe we need to have more one on one for students who are really stuggling so they understand whats going on and then maybe going on by themselves.
Everybody learns differently it's great that second girl flourished in that system, but that one girl unfortunately didn't understand the concepts to no fault of hers. A teacher is still needed to help students and to provide guidance. It's sad that there seems to be an one or the other argument in this country when we could combine the two to create an amazing and innovative education system.
I agree with Dillon. Some people learn better on their own & some have to have teachers. I'm better off learning from teachers. But i do feel that it would be better off learning better on your own so you're prepared for college.
yeah sure some people might learn better hands on but you still need to be able to listen and learn from someone! anyway there would be a huge amount of lost jobs so this would not work anyway.
Kids who are motivated to learn, need to be challenged more, and are striving for knowledge are the ones where self-learning would be beneficial. This would not work for the student population as a whole. I for one believe we should return to a more tiered system where similar level students are in the same groups so everyone maximizes their learning potential.
I totally agree with this. Students who excel at learning should be grouped with the same type of kids. That way they can learn at the same pace instead of a slower one if there is a student who struggles with the subject.
It depends on the teacher some acculy teach you and others just get off topic and you spend the the intier hour doing nothing maybe learning about a the news.
I think it depends on the subject. if you like the subject its easier to learn by your self but i think you learn more if u dont understand the subject.

I do not think this works. Without a teacher the student would never be able to ask questions or get help with a problem. And for all we know the things the student is teaching themselves could be completely wrong.
I think the internet is the way to go cause in a textbook its all based on the same thing and expect each kid to learn at the same pace. but on the computer I'm sure there's a way to have it where each person can learn at there own pace, so some kids don't feel rushed into learning to fast and then don't learn anything
