  1. Hunting accidents happen all the time. It is people who do not know what they are doing that are hurting other or themselves.

  2. They are telling us about all of these deaths by fire arms... but they are neglecting to show us how many are accidental deaths... and on the other side they don't show what kind of vehicular deaths they are... accidents or other? this data is skew I don't trust is

  3. The poverty rate has also gone up so kids are being brought up into gangs. So the higher the poverty rate the higher the death rates by guns.

    1. Yes the higher the poverty rate no, on the death by guns. The higher the poverty rate the higher the crime rate, guns are just another factor in this.

  4. I think we should make it so we have to check peoples background to see if they are even mentally able to have a gun. and i also think that we should not even sell automatic rifles or gun because i don't see a purpose why we should have them in the first place, yes i understand that the military needs them fine. but i don't see why a U.S citizen needs one!

    1. U.S. citizens can't own automatic rifles, there illegal.

    2. People are not getting the automatics legal, gangs and other groups have them brought in from other countries. So don't think were the once selling them to are own people when we don't.

  5. Joe, I think your spot on. With the poverty level going up, crime and murder with all kinds of objects will go up

  6. Here's an idea, we keep our shotguns and hunting rifles and give up our semi auto rifles and military style weapons.

    1. I agree with you there really isn't a use for people to be having automatics

  7. I do think we should have background checks but the fact is if there is some crazy guy that wants to go shoot up a school, he will find a way no matter what. I do think that we need to give up the more dangerous rifles that cause a lot of harm. Military weapons should only be with the military.

  8. No body has a problem with guns its the criminls that use the guns and commit crimes and ruin it for the rest of us

  9. I think that people blame the guns for the peoples actions. Guns shouldn't be a problem, they should just do background checks before people can get a gun but not everyone who gets a gun has a bad background which makes it hard to determine if they are going to shoot someone or not.

    2. Yes you are right on this but the goverment is not going to be able to do this because it never has that much information on 1 person in the us, unless they are crimenals but they still can get the guns from gun runners from mexico.

  10. the main reason they dont want us to have guns is people use them in the wrong way when someone gets mad instead of just useing a gun for hunting

  11. of course guns are the leading cause! guns offer a different view and feeling when you kill some one! (accourding to fbi) when you kill someone with a knife or anything else you have to be so up close and personal it makes it more of a hate and gruesome thing but a gun lets you stay back and doesnt make it personal, its more mithodical. waters down the feeling.. so it would make sense that guns are more widely used

  12. I don't think that taking away certain guns will eliminate the possibility of another mass shooting but it would defiantly reduce the chances. I think that outlawing certain weapons and having more in depth background checks is the best option.

  13. taking away guns wont solve anything i think!

  14. American culture is violent. There's nothing you can do to change that.

  15. Taking away guns would create more people obtaining guns illegally and that is when guns become "a problem." Then there is no registration on those guns and if someone were to commit a crime with their stolen/black market gun, it'd be much harder to trace suspects.
