  1. i Believe that this would be a very good thing. As myself I can do any assignment on the topic/ subject and get 100% but give me a test and ill fail. This would make school a little less stressful to kids not to just memorize everything.

    1. i agree with this. I fail mostly all tests i take but lucky we have some teachers who are nice enough to let us make currections.

    2. i would agree with the duckie. Tests suck and i always do crappy on them. which always tends to hurt me in the long run. it would be nice just to have to do homework and show the teacher that your doing the work for a grade.

    3. I agree that testing is a stressful and slightly unfair way to base what seems to be an entire grade. If you truly understand the concept and work hard the test shouldn't define you.

  3. Testing as a tool is a much more effective and productive way to be used. High-stakes testing only causes stress and it hurts both the schools and the students. We need to better use testing for teaching, not for evaluation.

    1. I agree with Larry. I am the same way. These tests just seem to have no point & a huge waste of time.

  6. I totally agree with this new method. Testing these days is only stressing out students and using the tests as a tool to judge schools and students. That is totally wrong. Testing should be a learning tool, not a judging tool. Using tests in the wrong way causes all of the hatred towards testing.

  7. explain how the government could judge a school and its progress other then testing? its basically the only reliable way for them to judge how we are doing.. love it or hate it.. theres just not a reliable way to do it

  8. Tests and me do not get along good together.. i believe the only tests there should be are the ones that we need to graduate like MCA's and maybe the ACT just to get into college, but little tests that teachers give us just to piss us off when there mad i do not agree with

  9. I think test taking is pointless when a lot of the kids dont take the time to study. I think they should do something else to show how much you know instead of having a test.

  10. tests are a big part of school and they should continue to be a big part. you cant really give assignements the whole year. you have to have some way of figuring out how much they actually know
