  1. I agree that wrestling should be in the olympics. Wrestlers work just as hard if not harder than other athletes and should be recognized for it.

    2. I totally agree with Jesse. No point in taking it away at all. I feel as if many people wouldn't be too pleased.

  4. like jesse and dillon say this is the sport that basically started the olympics how could you take it away. you would lose a great amount of fands if they were to take it away.

  5. I agree that wrestling is one of the core Olympic games back when the Olympics began. I do think it should stay, but there are plenty of sports that should be cut out. I will say though the writer of this article is hardcore.

  6. wrestling is what started the Olympics. If it was not for wrestling the Olympics would not have even started.

    1. It helped out in the early years, but by no means was it the only reason the Olympics were started or survived. It should stay, but it wasn't this amazing saving grace of an event as it seems to be thought of.

    2. Wrestling by no means started the Olympics, in fact only 5 wrestlers took part in the 1st Olympics in 1896 and none from the USA. Only 4 countries participated in wrestling (Germany, England, Hungary and Greece) were as Track & Field had the largest number of countries participating and the USA won all but two of the events.

    3. Shut up! Wrestling was one of the original Olympic sports, so was track and field so I'm not arguing with you

  7. I agree that they cant take one main Olympic sport out if they should take any out it should be one of the many dumb "sports"

  8. no sports in the olympics are easy but wrestling is probably one the hardest sport in the olympics in my opinion because you have to be physicaly fit and mentally fit to be a wrestler

  9. Saying that wrestling started the Olympics is a hefty claim. The ancient form of 'wrestling' never made it into Olympics until 708 BC as a throw in. The Olympics games itself started in 776 BC with nothing but foot races. Get your facts straight before you start blogging.

  11. I think any sports should be allowed to go to the olympics . They tryed just has hard at meets so they should be allowed to go all the way to the big top.

  13. i beleive wrestling should be in the olympics and stay. im not saying this because im in wrestling im saying it because its the oldest sport around i would still argue this point even if it was like basketball and it was the oldest sport in the world.

  15. Wrestling should be in the olympics because it's a sprt like any other sport out there

  16. I would agree with every other blogger on here wrestling should stay in the Olympics just because it is an intense sport and gathers alot of fans... they do work pretty damn hard and they should not just take away something that pretty much everyone enjoys.

  17. I think it's ridonculous that stupid events like synchronized swimming aren't being cut, but one of thee original founding sports of the Olympics is

  18. If it doesn't get high enough rating I'd cut it too. With money actually being generated the whole thing is pointless.

  19. Why is it that wrestling has received such much more publicity for being taken out of the Olympics than baseball when wrestling is a sport that is played very differently across the globe and baseball is played with near identical rules across the globe?

  20. Wrestling should definitely be in the olympics because it was one of the first sports in the original olympics
