  1. I personally feel that the government is wasting money, time, and people on small "wars" consisting of a single targeted area known as ISIS.

  2. Before entering war we should think of all the possible actions that can occur. The united states entering into another war will cause more money issues than we already have. I also think if ISIS is a great threat we shouldn't stand down but don't get involved and spend money and soldiers if we don't have to.

  3. I agree that we should stand against terrorism but if Iraq is not a direct threat to us right now I don't see why we should spend the money to engage in another foreign war. We have money issues within our national government right now the way it is let alone put money towards an issue that is not necessarily immediate. It would be an unwise decision to enter a war right now, we need to fix problems within our country before we decide to enter into war.

  4. As an American, I also see ISIS as a potential threat. The reason why this is, is because in 2001, the twin towers went down because of a terrorist attack. What's to stop something more worse from a new terrorist group?

  5. This is another example of the United States government. At the end of Vietnam our plan was we would leave the South Vietnamese Army equipment and teach them how to use it then they would fight their own war. As soon as the vietcong and NVA came they just dropped everything and left. I guess our government just didn't learn from that tremendous mistake and decided to try it again later in time, just to end up not working, again.

  6. President Obama says one thing and does another. Wasn't it just last week he was saying that we wouldn't send troops to foreign soil and now we have 475 being sent over? I feel as though he's using violence to stop upcoming violence, which makes no sense to me. “While we have not yet detected specific plotting against our homeland, we will not hesitate to take action against ISIL in Syria, as well as Iraq.” How do we even know they're going to attack us in the future, if at all? I think he needs to think about how this could affect our country before he decides to start another war.

  7. The US is just being the US. Even though we have no or little economic interests in an area, we are babysitting them. Back after WW2 we were babysitting countries from communism(Korea, Vietnam, etc.). Then after 9/11 we started on a total rampage against terrorism. I can see getting the guy that set it up and fighting the group that did it, but we are going on all out war against all terrorism everywhere, which I find to be completely idiotic. At sometime we need to handle more problems within our own country instead of in others.
