  1. Its good that Michael seems to be doing better. I think if Adams parents would of tryed to solve their son's issues things could have ended differently.

  2. with the right amount of help things can be fixed or prevented. you can never leave something like mental health only.

  3. I think that it is important for the mental health system in the United States needs to change a lot. I agree with the article and the author when she says we need to take a different approach mental health. Instead of trying to prevent things like Sandy Hook from happening, we should be working to understand mental illness and providing help to those who need it.

  4. I completely agree with 14falcons. Maybe the U.S. needs to take a step bck and look at things, explore, then try and treat. But don't treat everyone with bipolar disorder the same. Just like you and I, every person is different. Just because two people have bipolar disorder doesn't mean they are the same person and should be treated the same. Maybe different things trigger or set them of. Not everyone is the same therefore not every mental illness should be treated exactly the same, each patient individually needs to be treated individually.

  5. The most important thing in the mental health field is finding the diagnosis. It is really hard to tell sometimes if a child has a mental disorder because you might think that they are just being a normal kid causing trouble.
