Teens are going to do what they want because they think they know everything. I agree with Jesse and Dylan all you can do is teach them how to try and prevent it and if it happens then teach them how to be a parent.
You shouldnt have to pay teens not to get pregnancy they should know what right an wrong an make their own stupid choices .they can go to the doctor an get an implant in their arm an it last 3years.
they are going to do what they want and it would be pretty dumb paying them, because they can go off and do it anyways, it's their choice if they wanna do that stuff or not, just be ready for what might happen after.
While it is true that money is a great motivator, this is not the right circumstances to effectively use it. It all comes down to a personal choice whether or not to have sex at a relatively young age, and if you decide to what kind of measures you take to insure safe sex. I believe that birth control and condoms need to be discussed with teenagers by parents and other positive role models. Unfortunately, this vital discussion isn't even brought up.
I think this is an awesome idea! Who wouldn't want money for being socially and morally correct? Sure, it should be unnecessary, but if I were the person getting money for it, it would be pretty awesome!
I think it would be a stupid idea to pay your teenage kid not to have sex because they could possibly go behind your back and do it anyways and still get the money. I think you just have to teach them the right and wrong and hopefully they go the right way
all i have to say is no wonder everyone is broke! if were spending money to pay your child not to have sex its just dumb! id take the money and run! and why are yopu spending money like that when you could be helping the economy!
Agreed, a baby is a huge responsibility and expense if that doesn't keep people from refraining to have sex or at the very least to make sure they are protected then I don't know what will.
what the point to pay a teen to not have sex either way there going to do even if there getting paid to not have. the more we educate them about the more likely where going to still do it know matter what they do about it.
Telling teens that the father of their child will be a dead beat dad is something that you shouldnt tell them because not all dads a dead beat. Yes i know its more likely for them to leave but some stick around. Also saying that they are less likely to graduate is something you shouldnt say ether because you have your good parents that will make sure that their child is doing well in school and graduate, and i understand not all teen make the greatest parents, but they are still trying.

I can see positives and negatives coming from this. I think that giving teens money to not get pregnant would work, but that depends on how much money they are going to give. If it is not very much, then some teens wont even try. If it is a lot then a lot of teen are going to want to do that and the government is going to need to come up with a lot of money to pay these kids. It would be very difficult to eliminate teen pregnancy.
i believe that some teens will take the money and then go and have sex anyways. there is no accurate way to monitor it most teens are doing it without anybody knowing anyways.
I'm not giving my hard earned money to the government to keep frisky teenagers off each other. I say teach kids to practice abstinence, and provide contraceptives for those who are going to be risk takers.

barely any teens actually want to have a kid when they are in high school so itd be pointless to pay them. Most all cases are accidents in the first place. all adults can do is inform their kids. which doesnt stop teens anyways
I agree with Bailey. What teenager WANTS to have a child in high school? What they want is to have sex. They just don't always realize that with sex, comes consequence. Paying them to not have kids won't guarantee that they won't have kids. That's just stupid
