Welfare has nothing to do with the article at all. I believe the article is saying that to many people are going into carrers that society is losing interest in.
I think that as long as you are happy with your job it doesn't matter how much you get paid. I would rather be getting enough money to get by and doing something I love than the opposite.
alot of them are things you could do on your own time, but i think most people should choose jobs that are open and always in need like in everyday life, such as dentist, most things in the medical field, cops, etc. But then again you should be doing a job you love other than just doing it for money.
Do what you like not what pays the best, because you want to love doing your job and not hating it. I agree with joy about how people think of their jobs as hobbys.
Seems like a silly list. Even if what you want to do is on there that doesn't mean you should stop doing it. It means you should try harder to make it the best you can.
Sociology is on this list.
