  1. maybe the parents who are against this should either raise better children orhave trust that they are making good decitions to remain abstinent

    1. Even if the parents raise their children to the best doesn't exactly mean they won't get in a relationship and have sex, or just have sex. More and more kids are doing "it" so parenting can only come so far in that category.

  3. I dont believe that what the schools are doing is right. What gives them the right to interfear with birth control like that. Yes its bad that we have to many teenagers having kids, but that still dont mean its ok. If people werent so stupid and irresponsible schools wouldnt have to even think about this!

  4. I feel like if other schools start providing the plan B pill it would create some secuirty, but then again i think it'll have a negitive effect. Girls might think it would be ok to have more sex and not care becuase their school provides the plan B pill, especially if they don't have to have thier parents consent.

  5. When schools are handing out birth control, they are promoting the bad behavior. I don't believe that people should need to use birth control. But on the other hand, i don't want delinquents having kids. Poor kids don't have a chance.

  6. Making this stuff available to students at hand isn't the worst thing. These days many high school teenagers are sexually active. Many of which aren't on birth control. So if they think they have an oops accident they can prevent against it. Which I would think they then would go on birth control.

  7. If school give out birth control. The students probly would have bad descions. It really shouldnt be up to the school it should be the parent or parents descion.

  8. well schools that give out birth control are basically promoting sex, but its still the kids choice. If anyone would be to blame, blame the parents for not telling their kids to remain abstinent.

  9. You know what the schools should hand out instead of birth control, condoms. There is no moral conflict and their easier to use. THe women dont even have to worry about it.

  10. I think it is a good idea to hand this stuff out. There are too many teenagers that now have kids that are dropping out of high school to raise their kid. I think by the school handing these contraceptives they are making sure that the students are able to recieve their education and be able to make a good living, instead of having to work at McDonalds.

  11. Schools may be promoting bad behavior to some kids, but the ones who are already having sex & it may be unprotected this is a positive effect for them. It's possible that school is the wrong place to hand birth control out, but maybe it's a good place to get the idea in their heads?

  12. They don't need permission to get treated for it but they need permission for it... I think more teens wouldn't bring it up because they are afraid of what the parents will think

  13. If schools say that students should not have sex, then they should not hand out tools for us to do it. It is saying that we shouldnt do it, but if we do it is ok.

  14. I see there are some very conflicting opinions. I am not going to say it is wrong to hand out contraceptives, but I am not going to say it is right either. Yes it is basically promoting teens to have sex, but they are at least trying to help them stay safe. It is all up to the person whether or not they are going to take it.

  15. Schools are hippocrits, "dont have sex, but here's some birth control just in case;)"

  16. Schools are dumb to do that. So you give it to them just incase? sounds like that FIN group thats trying to "repopulate the world".

  17. I don't think that it should be the schools problem if kids are having sex.. and it's like the school is saying dont have sex, but if you do, its okay.

  19. Why not hand out contraceptives? From my perspective, it's not about the morality of the situation, rather the economics of it. Consider this: How much does a single morning after pill cost? $50. Now consider the cost of raising a child. hundreds of thousands of dollars from the time that the child is born until the time that they turn 18. In the end, giving out contraceptives saves us money

  20. A school would have to be dumb to hand that stuff out

    1. if the school has a sheet to fill out instead then i think it would be alright but the students should go to school if its an option if the school hears about u or your in a relationship it shouldnt be mandatory

  22. i dont think that its up to the school to give birth control

  23. i honestly dont think it would be right for schools to hand out birth control. i think it should be between there kids and there parents. most kids would probably take advantage of that and do bad things like think that just because theres that option and there on it that they couldnt get pregnant.

  24. I dont think it's right for schools to be handing birth control out, because that's for parents and children to talk about. I agree with PingMoney because to many people would take advantage of it and bad things would end up happening. & when they get out of school than who they going to count on for protection?

  25. Its not up to the school to decide if the kids should be on birth control. We go to school and thats it! What we do out of school should not be the schools business what so ever, thats all up to our parents not the school you attend.
