  1. We need to improve our technology resources in our educational systems to help student succeed in the 21st century. Why is that the Educational system is always the last to change when we as educators are the ones being asked to prepare students to be productive members of society in the 21st century?

  2. I think that educators only view them as potential distractions instead of the endless list of possitives this would provide

  3. What do you think we can do to change that perception?

  4. I think the only thing that we could do is a trial and error run to either prove or disprove that it would have a possitive effect on us. In the past we've tried new things like the 4 day weeks. Many had negative thoughts about it but now love it. Like anything it will have its ups and downs but educators won't know for sure until it's actually put into action.

  5. I agree with zebra19. I think it really is needed in the 21st centry and that all kids now are centered on technology and if they arnt using it they are lost and confused. I think that if we used computers and the internet instead of notebooks and books that students would learn better and we would save more money in the long run from not having to by books.

  6. Techology would save the school money in having text books on for say an ipad, and kids would have less to take home. I agree with Zebra 19, when she said that educators only look at the negative perception. Other countries students have labtops and so much other stuff to help them. You could look up stuff online and if you have a question could ask.

  7. Call me old fashion, but the screens those technology devices have could make problems for students. Sometimes devices like those cause headaches. Also, studies show kids that are on the computer before they go to bed have a harder time falling asleep.

  8. I think that if schools started using i pads or laptops and that stuff the students wouldnt have big books to bring home, the school wouldnt have to by new books, and the kids might acctually do their home work because they dont have to go through the whole big book looking for what they need. It would save so much time, money, and might even impruve students grades.

  9. I think that ipads would solve bringing big books home but i am not sure if it would help with kids doing their homework.
