Test Corrections

Should I allow future test corrections? Is allowing students to earn half thier missed points back for test correction fair to the students that prepaired and did well? If I do allow for future test correction should I give out a study guide? Some time I feel that by allowing for test correction, the insentive to study is reduced.

  1. Well personally to me I feel that test corrections are a great privledge offered by you. I still study just as hard as I would without the correction option. I don't really see much reason to get rid of them

    1. I agree with this guy. I study super hard and if for some reason I totally don't get a question I am still able to get a good grade because of the test correction option.

  2. Yes test corrections should be allowed because if you worked hard and studied then it shouldnt matter to you if others didnt try as hard so i think you should allow test corrections.

  3. I also think that study guides work the best if we go over them in class because nobody wants to go home and read them, maybe even incorporate a game into the study guide.

  4. No, you shouldn't.
If I fail a test, it is my fault and I should of prepared better. The study guide helps those who help themselves, so the study guide is still a good idea. You should have a little sign-up sheet that says "I want a study guide, and will use it.", so that you don't have to print off a big number of guides.

    1. But who are you to say that no one deserves a second chance? No matter how much you study, there is still a possibility that I could do poorly on a test.

    2. Exactly. What if you study so hard the previous nights and the next morning you find your dog dead and you cannot focus on anything and you fail your test. Still don't want corrections?

    3. And who are you to say that people do deserve a second chance? As I said, if I fail a test, that is my fault and I have to live with it. I'll forward to the next test and try to do better.

    4. The very purpose for a test is to see if you know the material. If I fail the test, does that mean I do not know the material?

    5. *look forward
I would have to deal with the bad test. If I can't focus because of my dead dog, I'd have to take the test to the best of my ability.

    6. Should I be condemned with a bad score because my dog died?

  6. I thought the study guide was very helpful and helped me prepare for the test. Test corrections is beneficial no matter what.

  7. Yes, you should allow test corrections because sometimes even if you studied you might not have had time to get all of the information down or you might've made a silly mistake

  8. i think you should allow test corrections because i'd still study even if i knew there would be test corrections.

  9. I think a study is a good thing to have. It makes it easier to study plus the people who actually study will benifit. Test corrections are also a good thing to an extent. People who are doing poor in the class have a chance to pull the grade up maybe if you put the test correction worth less, then its still kindia a punishment for the ones who didnt study, and had no intention too. Some people study but get the test an blank out.

  10. Well, the incentive is reduced, but it is just for the kids who do try. Maybe consider only letting individuals who have achieved a certain percentage correct their tests. Example: Children who have acheived at least 75% are allowed to correct their tests.

  11. i think that it depends on who the person is as far as less studying

  12. No matter how much you study and are prepareed, there is always a possibility that you will not do well on a test. Test corrections allow for people to regain some points lost to little mistakes.

  13. I think that test correctio0ns are usefull because some people study late into the night and when they get the test, are nervous and tierd, so they make small mistakes or forget what they studied.

  14. Test corrections are a good thing because, they help you get a better grade and a better understaning of what you are studing so next time maybe you wont be as lost. The study guide is helpful if you use it otherwise its your own loss.

  15. Test corrections are good but if you are failing and without them you wont pass thaen you dont deserve them, half the points you could have got just from being logical so if you need the corrections to pass you obviously dont deserve to pass.

    1. No doubt. If you are one of those kids who just scrapes by with the bare minimum you should get your correction privledge revoked. You obviously do not care enough to try.

  16. No test corrections study guide yes because test corrections u get done in 10 min. and its just simply to easy but if ur like me u earn ur grade

  17. I think test corrections are a good thing. Of course you want to study and try your best the first time. Too many test corrections can just be a hasle. That's why I think you should do good on your first run, then try to do very little test corrections. But still have the option to do the corrections.

  18. I think test corrections should be allowed because you still learn from them by over reading questions and taking your time. I think the study guide should be allowed because some students arnt good note takers or was gone and have notes to study off of for the test.

  19. I think they should be allowed. If i studied for a test and was ready & got a question wrong this gives me the opportunity to correct my mistake&show you the right answer and that i now know it.

  20. I believe that test corrections are still very important to students and their success in the classroom. I think if that everyone should get a second chance as long as they were studying hard to begin with.

  21. yes cause if the kid blew off the first test but still wanted a good grade i think they would use there second chance and it would still benefit them cause its not like the wouldnt learn anything the second time around anyway

  22. i like review games. but yeah just do one or the other

  23. i honestly think that it is okay to give kids the option to make test corrections because sometimes the things that you cover in class some kids might understand and it might take them longer before they can start to remember things. also i think a study guide would still be very helpful to everyone, the study guide could be optional or you could have a study guide but change the questions so they are not actually the same but have the same meaning so people can't just memorize the question, they actually have to think about it.

  24. i think its a great option to have test corrections because some people learn slower and better one on one.. and that's the only way you will learn the stuff is to correct it. it's your choice to do correction or not. & study guides are very helpfu

    ReplyDelete
  25. I like it cause some people are just better at remember stuff when they study than others so it fair for everyone

  26. test corrections are a great thing. it gives the student another opportunity to get a better grade. Not everyone will take advantage of it but then you will see who doesnt care and who does.
