To be a talented starter or reservist with very limited playing time.

Would you rather be a talented starter on a team with a losing record or a reservist with vary limited playing time on a undefeated state championship team? Why or why not?

  1. I would rather be a starter on a team with a losing record. it wouldn't be fun being a bench warmer, and it would be fun to try and make your team better.

  2. I think a reservist because you want the best for your team and are along for the ride and when it comes down too it winning is the goal.

    1. ya but say your a starter and your good that means your teammates maybe arent that good or you dont work good together it could be hectic and turn out to have a lot of stress instead of "Fun"

  5. i would be a starter on a team with a losing record. its alot more fun to play the game then sitting and watching the game from the bench.

  7. I agree with bubbles. Benchwarming would not be fun to do. Starting for a team with a losing record would not be that bad. Atleast you are playing the sport instead of watching it.

  8. i would rather win a state championship even if you dont play you were still a part of it and everyone would be remembered in your school for a long time.

  9. I would rather be a benchwarmer. I mean yeah, playing is fun. But I think being apart of something even if you are participating or not and watching them win is even more exciting. You are apart of something that did great things! Yeah, It would be boring too. But you are cheering for your teammates, its the same thing as sitting in the stands just watching the game not being on the team at all. So yeah, I'd rather be a reservist.

  10. I would chose to be a starter on a losing team and have fun playing the game with my teammates rather then win and sit on the side. Play to have fun rather then when and if you win well that just adds more fun.

  11. i would want to be a reservist. because i know that down graded colleges cause he wasnt the big man on campus. everyone has seemed to not like him nor respect i think whatever school you go to you should respect and think the best for your team whether your the stud or not

  12. this is a very hard decision. But honestly i would rather play then sit the bench. Yeah your team will win state but you cant brag about it since you never played. But if i played and we didnt do so good i wouldnt care as long as we were having fun and improving

  13. i would rather be a bench warmer because you get to watch the games for free, you get paid for doing nothing and you are not bringing your team down by having a losing streak.

  15. I would rather be a reservist and hardly ever play. I'd like to say that I could be a talented starter on a losing team and still have fun, but I know that in reality I'd get really discouraged and basically give up by the end of the season. To me, winning would make the game much more fun, even if I had very limited playing time.

  16. I really am not sure. It doesn't really matter to me I guess. As long as we are acting like a team, having fun, and trying our best.

  17. on the winning team because even tho its shallow to say but i would still like to say my team is unbeatable and have that bragging right over everyone

  22. I would be on the team with the most team spirit and the team players support each other. Come there’s no point on being on team if no0 one cares about on another

  23. Reservist, because knowing that for one; you're on the winning team and two, you are specialized in a certain area and so you can relax on everything else and just focus more on your skill. So, ya, reservist.

  24. I would be be the kicker, because you dont get tackled much and you get paid millions of dollars to kick a football five times a game.

  25. I would rather be a reservist, because then you on the winning team, and every game you can celebrate your victory and cheer on your team mates, and warm the bench for your friends.

    1. But you could do those other things without being on the team! I don't know, I think it would bum me out to always be a bench warmer.

  26. I can't figure out why everyone is choosing reservist for how long would it be fun to just be along for the ride? might as well just be a towel boy.

    1. if your a towel boy there is no way that you would ever get to play.

  27. i agree bubbles! i would still rather play than sit the bench. Your not getting any better by watching! at least when your playing you are getting better.

  28. I would rather be a talented starter on a team with a losing record because if I were in a sport I would rather be out having fun and contributing to my team the best I could than just sitting out and watching.

  29. A reservist so i can considered myself a winner and have a positive self esteem.

  30. Booker, you make a good point I myself said earlier that I would be a reservist, but the more I think about it I agree with you. If you're gonna be on the team at least make an effort to help them succeed. Don't be one of those people who do nothing then take the credit for your hard work.

  31. I think I would rather be a reservist because when it comes down to the end your still a winner and winning is all that matters when it comes to sports. And it would be one heck of an experience

  32. I would rather be a talented starter on a sucky team. If you're really that talented the chances that you will get noticed by colleges are that much greater since your the only good player on a sucky team.

  33. If the team sucks, put your best people out there

  34. Its hard to say but sports are not all about winning. i would rather be a talented starter because i would want people to notice me. it would be no fun to be a bench warmer.
