i agree with this article saying the word illegal is not right,in the sense of an illgeal immigrant or alien, that could be highly offensive to someone.
If someone is 14 and driving we call them underage driving, but it's pretty much assumed (i think) that it is illegal. It's the same with drinking&driving, it's known and understood that its illegal without putting the tab 'illegal drunk driving' on it.
But think of the word immigrant, that isnt the same as illigal immigrant so they have to classify them differently. It would fine if they came up with different names as illigals but just so we know that we are talking about a different group of people.
Really? What is the big deal here? Because Romney said illegal immigrants and illegal aliens IN FRONT of a group of lations? Society acts like the lations don't know thats what we call them. They know thats what they are classified as so whats the big deal if its said in front of them? They are here illegally. They aren't supposed to be here by law. That means they are illegal. Simple as that.
Honestly if the people were legal then thwey wouldnt get that offended by others being called illigal, maybe they get grouped in the same group but as long as they dont actr like the illigals then they shouldnt have a problem. And stopping illigal immigration would be a very good step for our country. Obama is an idiot for when he said that 800000 illigal immigrants could become citiozens just because they were already here.
Personally if I'm talking about an illegal immigrant I'm talking about any one who is here without a passport,visa, or whatever else you need to come here. If your plan is to live here and you didn't go through the complicated process to get in the USA as a new citizen you are illegal.
You might need to be slightly more politically correct in this day and age, the article even suggests using "undocumented immigrant" instead of illegal immigrant.
