i agree..and i feel like it's one of those things where our parents and older peers are trying to make the point of 'we did it, and we've seen what happens and we don't want it to happen to you'
i agree with nicole. im pretty sure every generation is going to get judged on this kind of thing even though it is probably always going to be an issue.
College binge drinking has been around for ages. People act like its new stuff but its not. Its only more popular in the media now then 20 years ealier because the cops are actually cracking down on it. Back in the day you could get away with that stuff so the big stories didn't get published. These days there is more and more busts so the stories are out there.
The drinking age limit obviously isn't affecting the way college students drink. People are concerened with the way people drink when really they should just mind thier own.
This article just goes to show that there's more to this than what people think; this generation isn't really doing anything worse than the previous one
Basically, what this article is trying to say is that, binge drinking isn't as bad as nowadays and is practically equal to the way it was back 1980's or so. But honestly if people want to drink and waste their money/time, go ahead!
IT might be bad cause some kids pretty much go to school and all they do is party and don't focus on there grades and either drops classes or drops out of collage
If some person wants to waste their money on alcohol then let them do it. It shouldnt be up to the college. The kid just needs to manage it correctly and not become an alcoholic.
I think that today's society is really judgemental about what we do, even though they may have done way worse things when they were that our age.

ReplyDeletei think parents and guardians should tell us about there experences with binge drinking to let us know what we got coming.
ReplyDeleteThis is nothing new. People have been pukes for decades, just look at your parents for example, that is your future self. You are what you come from.
ReplyDeleteMeh. It's alcohol.
ReplyDeleteBiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig deal. It shouldn't matter all that much.
because it's a social problem and my tax $$ end up paying for it in the long run!!!!
DeleteIt matters,it can kill brain cells when you drink at an early age.

ReplyDeleteIt does not kill brain cells. If you disagree, drink a crap ton. then take a test you aced and see if you got dumber
ReplyDeleteI believe it's a person's choice to do that or not. It may or may not be bad in some people's eyes but it really is the person's choice.
