  1. I feel that Davis does have a say in how she feels towards gay rights, but she has no right to deny any person a marriage license. She has no right to deny that right to any person. She deserves what she is getting by sitting in jail.

  4. My opinion on this is that she did the right thing. She had stood up for her religion and fought as hard as she could against giving the gay men and women their license to marry.

    1. So you are saying that even though that the gay marriage law is passed and she denied that couple a marriage license that it is okay? I respect that she is standing up for her religion but maybe she shouldn't be working in that field if she feels that strongly about same sex marriage. She did break the law by denying them a marriage license.

  5. Is Kim Davis a gift to gay rights? I think with all respect that Kim Davis is allowed to think what she wants. I think that just because I say that doesn't mean she could act the way she did. The way she acted was in my perspective unacceptable. For her to disobey an order by the Supreme Court is not correct. Just because she has her own beliefs does not mean that other people don't have their own beliefs. I believe that if a man wants to marry a man, or a women wants to marry a women that is perfectly fine. I guess the whole idea that I'm trying to get to is that Kim Davis is not a gift to gay rights, if Davis was a gift to gay rights I believe that she would have just accepted the fact that it is perfectly fine for gay marriages. Obviously with Kim Davis being sent to jail, she was not fit to do the job to the best of her ability. Imagine if you flipped this whole situation around imagine if she wouldn't issue a marriage license to straight couples? If you were a straight couple would you appreciate it if she wouldn't give you a license. I don't think that straight couples would appreciate it! So to conclude I believe that Kim Davis is not a gift to gay rights, and she deserves to be sitting in jail.

  7. I just want to say something about the end of the article when the person say that they should change their bakery. I don't think it is normal to be refused in a public place because you're gay.they didn't do anything. It's like if you're refusing someone just because he's black.
