  1. Did this article seriously just try to make me believe war is apart of us become monkeys are violent? no. Conflict happens, we deal with it via war.

  2. I think you missed the point of the article.

"It’s true that in certain situations chimpanzees do raid neighboring colonies and kill other chimps. Those studies on killer apes got enormous publicity because they implied that war is hardwired into human nature. Most scientists didn’t draw those conclusions from the evidence, but the mass media kept reinforcing that message."

The point was that media tends to exaggerate the perception of war and violence. The article also goes on to state that war is not hard wired into us just that we have the capability for war but it needs to be brought on my some outside stress like a lack of resources. As our world pop. continues to increase and more undeveloped countries become developed, this will cause more and more stress in the world. Governments will keep trying to position themselves to control the nonrenewable resources of the world.

From the author's point of view the only way to reduce the need for war is to lesson the need and redistribute the resources.

It's just that no one what to give up what they have and give it to someone else. we what to keep what is ours.

  4. It's possibly because we're so used to having the idea of war and conflict around us that it seems like it's in human nature to fight. And if it's in human nature, then it's unavoidable, which makes a perfect excuse to jump to a fight before going through all the peaceful possibilities, keeping the idea of conflict around us.

  6. Sometimes I think people should let countries deals with their own things and don't put their noses into it. Look how many soldiers different countries have lost in Iraq. As far as I'm concerned the United States has an economic interest in that war, the oil. You can see demonstrations in the streets about removing the troops from different war areas in the world because they don't want us there. Do we need to be a part of everything??
