I think it was foolish for the players to do that. The referee should press charges against the two because the intentionally hurt the ref at least that's what I had seen in the video.
I think that an action like that doesn't have its place on a sport field or everywhere. Even if the referee isn't good, it isn't a reason to hit him in the back two times. I'm scared that because people like that, everybody's gonna think that every football player uses violence for no reasons and doesn't use their brains.
The kids should get suspended for a while. But the ref i don't think he needs to press charges because kids are hot headed and naive. The kids could of made it fair and am for the ref head on so he had a chance to run away or brace for the impact.
Those 'kids' know better than tackling the referee, even though he might have been unjust on calls. those kids should be kicked out of the sport for bad sportsmanship and should have charges pressed on them for intentionally assaulting a man.
Well I feel the school, John Jay High, did the right thing in kicking them out of the sport and removing the two players from the sport, and do believe that doing that the teenagers did not just make themselves look bad, but the school and the sport itself.
