I can see each side, I personally think its okay to an extent but the parents should pick out the game with the child's opinion on it but the parent has the final say so they don't expose their children to something inappropriate.
Is it ok for parent's to play video games with there children? I believe it is ok. I think that children and parents should be able to have fun times together, but to an extent. I don't think that a parent should encourage it more then it needs to be. If a family were to have a game night where they are all playing it together, for a little bit is perfectly fine. I just don't think that they should us it all the time. A lot of stuff that you can do on the electronics you can actually do in person. I think that family time "in actual person" is a lot better then sitting behind a screen, actually go out and visit the real world. In this age this is why some of these kids can't function properly, and have a different view on the world.
Not all video games are learning games, but it has sparked an issue in congress because some believe that a teen playing Call of Duty starts thinking about killing people in real life and how easy it would be.

ReplyDeleteit seems okay as long as its not an everyday thing or if its used in moderation. it could strengthen the child and parent relationship
ReplyDeleteyes it would give the kids time with there parents but just dont play evertday of the week
ReplyDeleteWhat if the parent is not really a gamer? Will they risk not having a very good relationship with their child?
