  1. I think that giving inmates education is a good idea so there's less of a chance that they end up back in prison or committing more crimes.

    1. of what the article is talking about is free higher education for incarcerated adults. That a college education, Any other adult that goes to college will end up paying tuition.

    2. They could have the inmates pay for their college when they get out. Like a lone but they start paying it when they get out of prison.

  2. I don't think that they should be able to get a college degree for free. I just don't think that that is a fair deal, like hey since you committed a crime we are going to give you a free education. I am glad that it does keep them from ending back in jail. I think that they should make them pay back some of the cost of the education after they get out and have a steady job, I feel like that is a very good deal.

  4. I think its a great idea because they can get a education which should help you get a job and to be a productive member of society in life instead of a person who society doesn't like. It should be be allowed because it'll teach them that there is a different road and you don't need to steal or whatever to get the things you need

    1. So I should encourage my kids to break the law so they can get a free education.

    3. In a way yes its in encouraging bad behavior but criminal should be able to see there is a better way. No you shouldn't encourage your kids because the system is already at the max capacity as is. But the criminals probably don't have anyone to support them in their decisions or they don't have money to get an education. if the prison or jail wont give an education then at least give them resources so if they chose they want to do something better with their life.

  5. See that's the thing that confuses me why only give college level classes for free to prisoners. Why don't they make some colleges free of charge for students who have financial problems?

  6. I think it's a great idea and the results seem to confirm it. If the price is even less than reincarnation per prisoner, I think it's only good. It probably helps the prisoner to integrate the society better than if they wouldn't have these classes.

  7. To me this is a very hard one to talk about. I feel like if these prisoners are in prison they are in there for a reason. They are in there because they did something bad. If they wouldn't have done the stupid stuff that they did to get themselves to be put in there, then they would be able to go to college. I personally don't think it is a good idea, I feel like if they are in there they should be in there until they are ready not by what they think but by what the judge and higher authority's say. I feel like education should be free to the people that actually want an education, and don't do stupid stuff to be put into the system in the first place. I personally have never done anything bad, and to have to pay for college well knowing that people that are "bad" get it for free just because there in the system. To make a long story short NO I do not think that it is fair for them to get a free education.

  9. education can be a tool we use to correct our mistakes we have made in the future. If i had a criminal background with little education, i would want take advantage of this opportunity to become a better member of society.
