  1. No mothers day is not sexist at all...i mean the mens turn is coming up in another month anyways but this day is where their kids show how much they love there mother and give them the day off.

  2. so what if we reinforce stereo types? it seems to me that more often then not, stereo types are correct and often are not a bad thing! and fathers usually dont have much to do when it comes to house work and usually does most of the heavy lifting and fixing things. so its nice to have him get involved and have fun while the mothers get a break

    1. well roberto you really cant say guys dont do house work cause you would be stereo typing yourself cause i have seen men in a household do some cleaning... like say they are a single fathered dad they do everything in a house then.

    2. yeah i guess your right about the stereo type i used, but its very rare that theres a single dad. so i was playing the percentage.. it just seems that since most mothers are considered the child bearers and are with the child that it would be nice to give them a break and to let them just be and "chill" while the father who through out history have not been so involved with the child bearing aspect, would want to spend more time with there childern doing something they both would enjoy

  4. I dont agree with it being sexist at all how can people complain about a day where they are celebrated and told how important they are people need to quit complaining so much.

  5. All this is bologna... these reporters make a big deal about "sexism" in little things like holidays and super hero clothing. There are more sexist things out there. Next, let's talk about how sexist Victoria's Secret is, or how about Napa

  6. I think that mother's day receives a little more attention than father's day. I don't believe it make it sexist, it's just the way it is.

  13. Mother's day is simply a day to honor our mothers...same with Father's day. Neither are sexist.

  14. I don't know how anyone can say that mothers day is sexist. There is a fathers day too. Both men and women are getting honored and there is nothing sexist about that

  15. I don't really care if it's sexist or not. Men don't really need a day to have everyone being emotional about what they do. Women can have they're day and Men don't really need a holiday for them.

  16. There is both a mothers day and a fathers day. No i do not think that mothers day is sexist. I dont think that we should just use one day out of 365 of them to show our moms that we appreciate them and love them as much as we do just on mothers day but thats my opinion.
