  3. Look this is were science is shooting its self in the foot! no one knows whether its our fault or its just natural! actually a few years ago the government found scientists lieing about what they had found and they changed statistics because if they hadn't came up with results there funding would have stopped! and on top of all that studies have shown the volcanic eruptions put a ton more green house gasses in the air then we can produce with all the cars in america running at once

    1. It's not that often I'd agree with Robert but he is right, research doesn't know if it is us or just nature. I honestly think that it is just natural for these cycles to happen. Maybe we are helping it on but I still think it is natural.

  4. We should all try to look at the positive effects of an ice free artic. The carbon emmisions that caused the melting would be wonderful for plants and crops, we could travel from northen canada to europe and asia by boat in a matter of hours, and the rising sea would put the areas of conflict in africa and the middle east underwater.

    1. You need to realize that it wound also put alot of the essential parts of the united states under water like New York, oil places in Louisianna and Texas. That is not even mentioning places in Minnesota like the Red River that would flood more, the Mississippi, The great Lakes... I think all we can do is just prepare for it.

    2. Melting ice caps have little to no affect on flooding in Minnesota. The only way we could see water levels in places like the red river, the Mississippi, and the great lakes start to rise is from an increase in precipitation, not rising sea levels.

    3. well just because it wouldnt flood and doesnt seem to physically affect you it actually woiuld because it could throw how the world weather works! and on top of that, where would the people from new york and the other major citys that would be underwater go? a lot closer to you thats for sure! you never know Willmar could become the new, new york?

    4. Will there be indirect effect of melting ice caps on minnesota? Of course there will be. In my opinion however life in minnesota will not be very different if the ice caps were to melt.

  6. I can see an ice free arctic in our future, but whether it's the human population causing the global warming or if it's just happening....who knows

  7. If it happens it happens there's not a whole lot we an do anymore. And whose to say it was even the human populations fault. Nature has a mind of its own.

  8. All the polar bears will become extinct. I can see an ice free arctic. I think the human race has a lot to do with it. It's sad but it's already too late like I mean what are we going to do about it now. We can all start recycling and doing good for the earth but its just like saying sorry, actions speak louder than words (:

  9. I don't believe that it could happen. The weather changes all the time.
