  1. I think its a good thing that the DEA raided the teams and they should continue to. If the staff or players have a problem with it, they are most likely the ones who are on the drugs. If not it shouldn't be a problem.

    1. I agree, NFL teams should continue to be evaluated. These raids shouldn't be a problem if all the teams have legally prescribed drugs and are using them correctly.

    2. Keep in mind the "drugs" spoken about in the article are prescribed by doctors, so they would not be in any trouble if they have proof.

    3. But it is the trainers that are handing out these pills, not the doctors. And only doctors are allowed to hand out prescribed pills so technically it would be illegal.

    4. They also said that some pills were prescribed without the player knowing, then kept the pills and handed them out.

  2. I feel that the DEA has violated the fourth amendment with there actions, but since there was a small history with misuse of prescription drugs the accusations seem reasonable.

    1. 4th Amendment deals with unreasonable search & seizure. Was someone life in emanate danger in the NFL?

  3. It's about time they do something about it. Players should not be using drugs of any kind in my opinion.

    1. If the "drug" was so to speak insulin, then should it be allowed?

  4. If painkillers and prescription drugs are becoming such a problem in the NFL I feel all the teams should be raided.

  5. if painkillers are becoming such a problem then all the players should have to report what they are taking and why, if they are believed to be abusing it then that player should be punished accordingly

  6. All players should be required to take a drug test before every game. Not administered by the coach or NFL staff, they need to be administered by someone that is not employed by the NFL or related organizations. If they fail, they would be fined and ineligible to play until their system is clear.
