I agree with what she has to say in this entire article. The dress code most girls in high school have to deal with is ridiculous just because boys get distracted by showing some skin. If I want to show my shoulders or my knees, I should be able to in peace without having teachers telling me to cover up and boys commenting on my appearance.
i have a strong opinion with the author. men are going to think about girls either way, nomatter what they are wearing, the only thing setting a clothing ban is going to do is give men the "she aked for it" attitude and thats not right, the school system is corrupt for doing this. teens are going to think about women nomatter what
I agree, and I also think that it can be bad for girls self esteem to call them out. Teens already struggle with self image, teachers calling them out on wardrobe choices is embarrassing to the teen and makes them feel bad about themselves.
I don't feel its right that they protected the boys in this school more so than girls. I think the article is exactly right, men and women think sexual thoughts no matter what one another is wearing.
In my opinion i think girls should be able to wear anything they want to wear to school as long as its appropriate and nothing bad is hanging out or showing. Collarbones and shoulders even if a girl bends down to grab something from her locker and a little piece of her back is hanging out that is nothing to be ashamed about. Boys shouldnt be "protected" they way that they do. They can run around a prance around without shirts on in practice but girls cant even wear tank tops.
I think that the article is true, men and women are going to have thoughts about each other despite what they wear. I don't think its right that the boys were protected more than the girls.
I agree with her! It doesn't make a difference what girls are wearing boys are still going to have sexual thoughts. and banning yoga pants is to the extreme considering there is no skin showing!
While I agree with the banning of yoga pants being a poor choice, yoga pants, jeggings, and leggings are pieces of clothing not intended for outside use, except leggings are meant to go with a dress, and are not an actual replacement for pants or shorts.
I think this is one of the most significant information for me. And i’m glad reading your article. But should remark on some general things, The web site style is perfect, the articles is really great : D. Good job, cheers black yoga shorts

ReplyDeleteI agree with her opinion entirely. Even if women are wearing "respectable" clothing, men are going to continue to think the same thoughts.

ReplyDeleteWho gets to decide what is appropriate? Men or Women.
