  1. That seems like slightly overboard punishment.

    2. I doubt that is what Mavdick was trying to imply. Tami, you seem to be reading too far into things. Know your facts before making hasty claims.

  3. i think it is not punishment. its abuse an donly abuse. there is no need for parents to handcufe a teen down in the basement. that is just wrong and unuseual. i know how it feels to be abuse but thast just overborad.

    1. But what about the kids that need to be locked away in a dark remote asylum for a few months to mellow out. I think that these parents were wrong though. But some kids need to be tought some gall dang discipline ya hear!

  5. I can't belive anyone could do such a bad thing. The parents should be charged.

  6. This is so sad and heartbreaking. How could someone treat their own kid like its a worthless animal. These people should be handcuffed to something for 3 months with no food or water and see how they like it.

  7. this is horrible how can they treat their kid like this and think it's okay, and what i don't understand is how the parents are not getting into trouble for this!

  8. This is very sad, how could someone do that to there own family member? thats just horrible! i think the parents should be sent to jail and have to suffer in there with nothing!

    1. I think jail may be a bit extreme PingMoney. Some other, more minor punishment, should probably be forced upon them in my opinion. Who knows what the kid was up to.

  9. wow that's just one sad thing , some people just shouldn't have kids at all,and the ones that cant should try to adopt kids .

  10. These parents are messed up. Why would you treat your own flesh and blood with such disrespect? Granted there is a step-mum in the house but do people have no compassion?

    1. Maybe the step-mum had a bit of a bad childhood and that was all she knew. She could have some mental diablity that caused her to act this way. Maybe she though it was a terrorist and not her step-boy.

    2. Well we can all make conjectures but it's still wrong nonetheless. If you have serious mental disorders such as what you are alluding to then perhaps you shouldn't be allowed custody of a child

  11. I'm seeing alot of comments about how the parents should be charged. I think everyone is misinterpreting what the end of the article said, they have not been formally charged with anything as of the writing of this article. Within the next couple weeks they will most certainly be charged with numerous counts of child abuse and battery. It really disturbs me how people can do such things.

    1. It would be hard to live life with a battery charge to your name. That is, unless you are a professional athlete, in which case, a battery charge will have gained you some street cred.

  12. I'm still very curcious as to what the kid did. Maybe he was a mad man and hurt people and his parents didn't him to go to jail but had to punish him. Or maybe he did nothing at all and his parents were really just that crazy.

  13. Why would anybody want to do this to a kid? Whoever thinks that this would be a good punishment to put on their owns child is just crazy.

  14. How can you not care enough to even let your son sleep in a bad nor less the house!!! Some people should have to talk a test to have a kid

    ReplyDelete
  15. i dont see why you would do this to your own child! you had him and choose to keep him and you treat him like dirt hes mentally disable. thats not a real parent.

  16. Obviously these parents need a psychological evaluation of themselves. Something is wrong in their head if they can lock up their child for months and sometimes leave him locked out of the house. The sad part is that they have a 2 year old too, if they wouldn't take care of their first child, what would happen to this poor kid? Or if would be even sadder if they treated this 2 year old like the best child in the world and gave the child everything it wanted. I hope these parents get sent to jail for the rest of their lives.

  17. I think this is way over the top. Very cruel punishment. These parents are obviously not thinking clearly.

  18. I reckon these parents are struggling with substance abuse which has caused insanity. This is the only logical explanation. Or, maybe they were insane already, and they aren't abusing any drugs at all.

  19. This is way over board on punishment, it's not even punishment its clearly abuse. The parents should have never became parents in the first place because they don't have the clear state of mind. Just breaks my heart knowing people are getting abused everyday..

  20. we all have heardf of harsh parneting tactics but this crosses the line id say. that is tourcure to handcuff your child in your basement is just taking it to far

    ReplyDelete
  21. this does cross the line i have to agree, i understand a time out is a time out but a handcuffed time out and not being able to move is way to far

  22. an example of some parents who shouldnt be allowed to have kids. they dont know their rights and went way to far on this one. and probably have done worse.
