  1. This seems to be a accurate article with good points and things i wouldnt of thought of..but i also think theyre reading into it way to much older people always have problems with the younger generation but it turns out fine.

  2. I agree, most of this can be simplified to it's just teenagers being teenagers. We need to mess up sometimes, its a part of growing up and learning.

    1. I agree that kids are trying to grow up too soon, but in different ways. Some are good and some are bad. Some teens want to grow up in the way of being done with school and drink and smoke and have sex. On the other hand, some teens want to mature and go on with life and work and start a family. I think that these are both extremes and probably not so good but in the middle is where I'd want to be.

  4. I think that the older generation isn't thinking about all the new challenges that the younger generation has to deal with.

  5. I love that the article ends by providing solutions to the problem, especially reducing homework and giving more opportunities for apprenticeship. Often when I sit in class I feel like I am learning things that I will never have to use in the future. I would love to spend some of my time interning rather than learning how to graph the cosine of x.

  6. I also agree that this article is accurate, but they are not reading into it to much the things they say are true. older people always have problems with the younger generation because the young keeps getting more immature

  7. i agree bubbles. let us be kids and peoplea are trying to grow up to fast. enjoy your high school years dont wish you were away from your parents because when you are your going to really miss them. I have a feeling that once i get older and moved on i would really appreciate a home cooked meal from my mom instead of me having to cook for my family. Dont wish for time to be gone. Enjoy what we have and the elder should stop judging us. yeah of course we are young and free but we will grow up just like they did.

  8. this article is also saying that we arnt growing up fast enough meaning some of us probably wont ever move away from home and always rely on our parents

  9. i know what your saying snuffleupagus. i think we are all thinking its just so easy for us now that when its time for the real world then we are not ready for it. Its going to be a rough battle but its nothing that we cant accomplish.

  10. I don't really think it's saying that we aren't growing up fast enough, but that we're not as prepared to grow up as the teenagers before us were.

  11. If we arent as prepared to grow upas the teenagers before us dont you think we need to mature more and become more responsible so we can grow up better

  12. How are the teenages before us any different futureBennie? they all do dumb stuff. It might not be as bad as some of the stuff that people do now but it still was bad back then.

  13. The generation befor us may also be bad but it seems that the teenagers now like to break rules for fun and amusement and its really not funny to the grown ups it makes them mad and ashamed of us

  14. yeah i can see where you are coming from. But dont you think that it was the same thing when the adults now were younger?? But they could always get away with alot more stuff than we can now. somethings you wonder why they would throw vegtables at vehicles. yeah for fun but when you look back. was it really that fun??

  15. I think all teenagers go through that "rebellion" stage. I don't think that the generation before us necessarlily got away with everything. It's just that society today I believe has become more aware of things. Although, they be more aware, there is something about todays teenagers. I think they like to test the waters and see how far they can go with out getting in trouble.

  16. i think you are totally right Blossom. Today everybody tries to get away with everything, but more than likely they will get caught. Earlier generations could get away with more becasue the the laws were different. things change as the time goes on.

  17. i do agree that all teenagers hava that "rebellion" stage but i think that the new generations are just getting worse and worse with what there doing yeah the adults today probaly have done bad things to but the activities the teenagers today are doing are way more severe and a lot less mature than what the older generations have done

  18. that makes sense. all people go through some part of a stage that causes people to go against what people say. but i also think people can go around with it. People these days are much more educated with the things around them and its not always a good thing because then they seem to cause problems. Most people grow out of that "rebellion" stage, but there are some that dont.

  19. I believe that many people will grow out of the "rebellion" stage as they get older but some just stay immature for the longest time which makes the older generations upset because it seems to take us a lot longer to mature than what it took them to

  20. I agree that people now are more educated, which is a great thing..but it can also be a destructive thing. Yeah, we need well-educated people in the world or nothing will every really get accomplished. I also think the new advanced technology now plays a huge roll in the way the teenagers are infulenced.

    ReplyDelete
  21. yeah technology i would say definitally play a huge roll. People find all of this "dirty stuff" online and its not always a good thing to be educated about. be careful in what you learn and watch.

    ReplyDelete
  22. It is very true about technology the teenagers now these days live in what is known as the technology age we are all growing up with it and its causeing negative things to go through our minds. Technology does have some postivite things to it also but i think we take advantage of it.

  23. people believe whatever they see on the internet is true and it isnt always true.

    ReplyDelete
  24. that is correct i believe that the internet has a great influence on teenagers which causes things to not be right

    ReplyDelete
  25. Technology is good but we sometimes let ourselves be swallowed up in it.

    ReplyDelete
  26. i think that technology is taking over, not saying that its a bad thing that stuff is much more advanced now. Like on the internet such as facebook, people think they can get away with saying stuff about others to avoid saying it to there face.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ya theres to much technology everywhere you look theres new stuff coming out that might be affecting teens
